In partnership with XQ Institute, we helped design a student-centered changemaking toolkit to empower high school students to lead social change in their high school communities. Centered on youth voice, the toolkit included a step-by-step website (1), a Companion Guide with team and individual exercises (2), and a Case-making Template which includes tools to help students present their ideas to decision-makers (3). To ensure authenticity, we co-created the experience with students through interviews, workshops, and feedback sessions with over 100 high schoolers, as well as input from educators and experts. The final toolkit laid the foundation for XQ’s youth engagement strategy and gave students the tools to drive real change—on their terms.

In part three of the changemaking journey, students are directed to download a presentation template that provides a narrative structure for how they might make their case for change.
